All systems go!

Well, this morning Nurse Perfect says I have a very nice little bed for any embryos to snuggle into (she measured the lining, but didn't tell me how thick it was - just that it looked great). I still have four follicles - two are now over 20mm, the one on the left is 14mm and the other is 13mm.

I have one more Gonal-F injection to do this evening, then at 4:45 tomorrow morning I have to do my trigger injection, and I go in for egg collection on Wednesday afternoon. Provided we get an embryo or two out of that, transfer is on Friday afternoon - so by the weekend I should be into the two week wait!

I'm excited, nervous, emotional (I just had a chat with a friend, and in a ten minute conversation she had a good laugh about how unusually moody and irrational I was, which bizarrely made me feel a lot better, even though I was crying when she said it - so I suppose moody and irrational is a pretty good description) and veering between optimism and terror.

There's so much that can still go wrong - but for the moment, it's all going well.

  1. YAY!! Wonderful news, and now we get to start praying for the next step. Holding thumbs the trigger injection goes well, and will be thinking and praying for you XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  2. Hi - just found your blog via another blog & want to wish you luck! I'm not far behind you in the day of cycle - I've only got 6 follies so I understand your disappointment. And if one more person tells me "it's quality, not quantity I'm going to scream!!!" ha ha. Hope all goes well for retrieval!!! :)

  3. Yay for the good report!! FX for a GREAT retrieval!

  4. Thank you all.

Simple, I'm using that line myself, but I'll try to avoid saying it to you! Good luck for your retrieval too - hope all goes well.

  5. YES! I am so, so excited for you! Your follicles all sound like beautiful sizes, too! I can't believe you're so close to the 2WW. I am sitting here with a huge smile because I am just so happy for you.
