And just so you know...

... when they say you may have a little local reaction to Cetrotide, they're not kidding. This is what my stomach looks like an hour and a half later (sorry, not a pretty sight!). You can see the size of the swelling from the little plaster that I have where the needle actually went in.

I should assure anyone who's going to go through this, though, that it wasn't painful at all. I didn't really feel the injection, and although it's a bit itchy now, it's not really uncomfortable. That doesn't mean I won't be expecting lots of sympathy from DH tonight, of course...

  2. Ah, good for sympathy value, then! Honestly, it doesn't hurt - though my stomach is feeling increasingly bloated as the week goes on, which is a little uncomfortable.

  3. Oh my goodness, that looks so painful! I know you said it isn't but ... wow! I never had a reaction to the drugs (well, a skin reaction) and I am cringing just looking at that photo. Poor you!

  4. Oh my word, that does not look comfortable. Glad to hear it's only a little itchy. My bruise seems like nothing now! Hopefully it clears up shortly. :)

  5. Thank you. It's resolved itself into a bruise only half the size of the swelling now, and the swelling has gone down, so I feel a bit more normal...
